Enrollment Dates for 2024-2025 School Year:

• Priority Registration (returning students, alumni families, families from feeder schools) : January 13th, 2024
• Transfer Registration (families currently enrolled at another NSC preschool) : January 27th, 2024
• Open Registration (families new to NSC) : February 10th, 2024

Enrollment Process: Priority Structure

Applications for NSC cooperative preschools are not processed in the order by which they are received, but according to the following priority structure:

• Child repeating Pre-K (4-5 year old) class
• Sibling joining a child returning to Loyal Heights
• Child from primary feeder group: Crown Hill Explorer Pre-3s
• Sibling starting with alumni parent from previous year​
• Child of alumni parent resuming involvement after a break 
• Child enrolled in another NSC co-op (Crossover)
• Child who enrolls at Open Registration
• Child who enrolls after Open Registration 

All priority applicants will be offered a space in the class, provided that the number of applications does not exceed the number of spaces available.

​A surplus of applications will result in random lottery assignment to fill the class and begin a wait list. Beginning with Open Registration, any remaining spaces and wait list spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Children currently attending the Crown Hill Explorers Co-op programs have Priority status for the coming year at Loyal Heights. In addition, families with children who have previously attended Loyal Heights are considered alumni of our program and have Priority status. 

Priority applicants, with the exception of alumni, must complete a classroom tour and turn in a registration form to our Parent Coordinators before the Priority Registration deadline.

​Applicants will be notified by the Parent Coordinator via email as to their space or waitlist assignment on the day after the deadline.

​Transfer Registration

Children currently enrolled in an NSC Co-op preschool class other than our primary feeder groups (Crown Hill Explorers) are eligible to enroll in the coming year at Loyal Heights as Transfer applicants. 

Transfer applicants must complete a classroom tour and turn in a registration form to the Parent Coordinator by the Transfer Registration deadline.

Applications will be processed and space assigned only after spaces have been filled by Priority applicants. Notifications will be made via email by the Parent Coordinator on the day after the deadline.

Transfer applicants will have 24-hours to respond to the Parent Coordinator as to whether or not they choose to accept the space offered. Those accepting a space in the class will be required to submit a (non-refundable) $60 deposit within 48 hours of acceptance. ​

​Open Registration

Open Registration is for families who are new to the NSC Co-op system and will be held at NSC.

Applicants who apply to Loyal Heights at Open Registration must remit immediate payment of the non-refundable $60 deposit upon enrollment to secure a space in the class. All Open Registration applicants must complete a preschool tour.

Mid-Year Enrollment

After the Open Registration period ends, our preschool may process space assignments and waiting list requests on a first-come, first-serve basis. We continue to enroll through the Summer and even into the Fall and Winter based on space availability. Please reach out, we are happy to help.

Enrollment Process

• Contact the class Parent Coordinator to schedule a class tour. 
• ​Submit application and preschool registration fee to class Parent Coordinator.
• When admission is confirmed, pay September tuition deposit, or the current month's tuition depending on your start date.
• Register with North Seattle College.​
